The Luxembourg Research Clinic (LRC) is building a national clinical research ecosystem designed to support innovative, patient-centred, and data-driven healthcare research in Luxembourg. To address current and future healthcare challenges, the LRC is developing a comprehensive infrastructure that connects hospitals, researchers, clinicians, and patients through shared expertise, technology, and resources.
The Luxembourg Research Clinic (LRC) research model is built around three core structural elements for success:
- A clinical data workflow connecting patient care data with a dedicated and safe research data environment for each hospital;
- A clinical research facility infrastructure in each participating hospital consisting of study nurses and dedicated clinical researchers, providing basic patient contacting, onboarding and clinical trial activation functionalities;
- A competitive funding programme for clinical trials, supporting innovative clinical and translational research projects and empowering clinical researchers with resources and protected time.
