Clinical research facility
The Luxembourg Research Clinic is developing a sustainable clinical research infrastructure embedded within participating hospitals to support the implementation and coordination of clinical research activities.
International examples demonstrate that successful clinical research depends on dedicated infrastructure, specialised staff, and close integration between research and clinical care. The LRC therefore aims to establish a coordinated network of clinical research facilities across Luxembourg.
This infrastructure includes:
- Dedicated research nurses
- Clinical research staff and coordinators
- Physician researchers
- Patient onboarding and re-contacting support
- Clinical trial activation support
- Guidance for clinicians developing research projects
This on-site infrastructure supports both patients and healthcare professionals by facilitating participation in research and creating clear entry points for clinical research collaboration.
The Luxembourg Research Clinic, supported by the expertise and services of the Luxembourg Institute of Health (LIH), aims to progressively expand these capacities over time and strengthen the integration of research activities within hospital environments.
