Centre Hospitalier de Luxembourg (CHL)

The CHL has a capacity of 590 beds and employs more than 2,700 people in nearly 100 professional capacities, including several hundred physicians and more than 1,600 healthcare professionals. Its clinical activities cover a wide range of specialties, supported by dedicated national and specialist services in areas including paediatrics, oncology, cardiology, immunology, neurology among others.

Research, education and training are integral to the mission of the CHL. The hospital supports fundamental, clinical and translational research, with particular strengths in cancer, cardiovascular and neurodegenerative diseases, infectious diseases, diabetes, allergies, respiratory and digestive disorders. Its physicians participate in clinical studies and international research collaborations, while dedicated structures support the development and management of research projects.

The CHL has also developed strong partnerships with national research institutions, including the Luxembourg Institute of Health and the University of Luxembourg. Within the Luxembourg Research Clinic, the CHL contributes its extensive clinical expertise, patient population and research infrastructure, helping to connect clinical practice with biomedical research and accelerate the translation of discoveries into improved care.
