Centre Hospitalier du Nord (CHdN)

The CHdN has more than 1,100 employees and over 160 physicians across its two sites. It has 359 inpatient beds, including intensive care, acute geriatric and geriatric rehabilitation capacities, as well as day hospital facilities. Its clinical services cover internal medicine, cardiology, neurology, oncology and haematology, surgery, obstetrics, paediatrics, psychiatry, rehabilitation and emergency care.

The hospital is committed to continuous improvement, investing in modern facilities, diagnostic technologies and new approaches to patient care. Recent developments include expanded paediatric services in Ettelbruck, upgraded breast imaging facilities and a new MRI system in Wiltz, strengthening access to specialist care for people living in the north of the country.

The CHdN also contributes to the development of healthcare beyond its direct clinical activities through collaboration and partnerships. Within the Luxembourg Research Clinic, it brings its regional patient population, clinical expertise and healthcare infrastructure to national research efforts, helping to broaden access to clinical and translational research and strengthen cooperation across Luxembourg’s healthcare and research ecosystem.
