Luxembourg reinforces its position as a hub for precision medicine in Parkinson’s disease research
A new consortium agreement has secured the long-term future of the National Centre for Excellence in Research on Parkinson’s Disease (NCER-PD), following a decade of collaboration between Luxembourg’s leading research and healthcare institutions. By combining detailed clinical assessments, molecular research and long-term participant follow-up, the programme has advanced the identification of biomarkers, personalised disease models and access to innovative clinical trials. Within the Luxembourg Research Clinic, NCER-PD will serve as a model for developing large-scale, patient-centred research programmes that connect scientific discovery with advanced clinical care.
